Description

Gregory David Roberts will script the feature adaptation of his critically acclaimed novel Shantaram. Australian heroin addict escapes to India and reinvents himself as a doctor in the Bombay slums. After getting involved in questionable activities, the doctor travels to Afghanistan and battles the Russians with a mob boss. Mira Nair was previously attached to direct Johnny Depp.
