Description

Playwright Tom Stoppard strikes again with this comedy-romance about writer's block sufferer Will Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes), who is trying to finish a play titled "Romeo and Ethel." The beautiful Viola (Paltrow) would love to be an actor, but it's 1593, and only men act at this point in time. To get an acting gig, she poses as a man and joins Will's company. Will has no clue that the youth is Viola and falls for him/her. Inspired by the new company member, Will completes his play and changes Ethel's name to Juliet.
