Description

Martin Scorsese will direct the period drama Silence. Two Jesuit priests travel to Japan to check on the progress of missionary work in the country. The priests learn that Christians are experiencing persecution as the Japanese seek to eradicate all Western influence. Jay Cocks adapts the screenplay from a Japanese novel by Shusaku Endo.
