Description
In Space Cowboys, a satellite from the 1950's malfunctions and a veteran astronaut (Clint Eastwood) is sent to space to repair the device that now threatens earth. The astronaut, Frank Corvin, who is in his 60’s, is one of the few men alive that is familiar with the old technology used to create Ikon, one of the first satellites ever to be built. Three of the astronaut’s pilot companions (Tommy Lee Jones, James Garner, and Donald Sutherland) from 1958 who were not granted acceptance into the space program are allowed to be a part of the mission. A younger crew (Loren Dean, William DeVane, and Courtney B. Dance) accompanies the retired Air Force test pilots.
