Description
The film follows the six-person search and rescue crew of Nightingale 229, a medical ship in deep space in the early 22nd century. Robert Forster, James Spader, Angela Bassett, Lou Diamond Phillips, Robin Tunney and Wilson Cruz make up the crew.
When their ship answers a call from a faraway location, the crew runs into danger in several places. Peter Facinelli, who plays a man they rescue, has smuggled an alien artifact onto the ship. As if that weren't enough, they have to deal with the gravitational pull of a giant star about to supernova.
