Description
Written and directed by Mike Figgis, Time Code 2000 breaks all the rules of filmmaking. This innovative film was shot in one day entirely with hand-held digital video cameras in sequence, in real time with no editing. The dark comedy thriller concerns a woman who creates a new identity for herself after murdering her abusive boyfriend years earlier.
Stellan Skarsgård, Salma Hayek, and Jeanne Tripplehorn are among the many actors who improvised their roles based on a basic story premise. Figgis received an Oscar nomination in 1996 for Leaving Las Vegas.
