DreamWorks and Warner Bros. are teaming together for a remake of the 1960 sci-fi film The Time Machine, which was based upon the novel by H.G. Wells. The great-grandson of H.G. Wells, Simon Wells, who directed Dreamwork's animated feature The Prince of Egypt, will make his live-action directorial debut. Screenwriter John Logan (Gladiator, Any Given Sunday) has scripted the latest adaptation. Guy Pearce (L.A. Confidential) will star as the inventor of a time machine who travels 800,000 years into the future. Mark Addy, Jeremy Irons, and Samantha Mumba co-star.
