Description
After her debut as a passionate schoolgirl in 1991's Flirting, this daughter of a Zimbabwean princess and white Englishman has appeared in a variety of roles. Thandie Newton has portrayed a Creole servant in 1994's Interview with a Vampire, starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, Sally Hemmings in 1995's Jefferson in Paris, and a tormented ghost in 1998's Beloved, amongst others. In the summer of 2000, she starred with Cruise once again as the leading lady in director John Woo's Mission: Impossible 2.
