Description
The romantic comedy Tortilla Soup is a remake of the 1994 Ang Lee film, Eat Drink Man Woman. Hector Elizondo stars as a Mexican-American master chef who seems to have lost his taste for food, but not necessarily his zest for life. He has three daughters, played by Elizabeth Pena, Tamara Mello, and Jacqueline Obradors, each with a crisis in their lives. The only way they all communicate with one another is through their father's cooking. Complications arise when the father meets an attractive lady played by Raquel Welch.
Tortilla Soup was scripted by Vera Blasi who also penned the Penelope Cruz film Woman on Top. Maria Ripoll takes the director's chair of the Samuel Goldwyn Company production.
