Set right after the end of the Civil War, Texas Rangers stars James Van Der Beek as a man who must help uphold the law in the Lone Star state. Halloween: H20's Steve Miner will helm the film, which co-stars Dylan McDermott and Rachel Leigh Cook. John Milius, the Oscar-nominated writer of Apocalypse Now and Clear and Present Danger, penned the script.

Originally scheduled for release this summer, the film will apparently be delayed while some new scenes are shot and the film gets re-edited.
