Description

The real-life inspiration for Dracula, Vlad the Impaler is getting a historical biopic. The Romanian prince slaughtered thousands of Turks to avenge the death of his father and repel the invasion of the Ottoman Empire. His bloodlust and cruelty inspired the legend that Vlad was a blood drinking vampire. The film will be a period drama without any supernatural elements. Anthony Mandler directs with a script by Charlie Hunnam. Brad Pitt will produce for Summit Entertainment.
