Description
Andy and Lana (formerly Larry) Wachowski began their professional careers as co-authors of 1995's Assassins, sharing the writing credit with prolific screenwriter Brian Helgeland. The following year, however, the Wachowskis made greater inroads to Hollywood, writing and directing Bound, the winner and nominee of several awards at various film festivals. In 1999, the Wachowskis wrote and directed The Matrix, which astounded audiences with ground-breaking visuals and an original storyline. The sequels The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions did not manage to meet loftly expectations.
