Wah-Wah is a semi-autobiographical coming of age drama written and directed by Richard E. Grant. The film tells the story of Ralph Compton, who lives among the military with his boozer father in Swaziland during the last days of the British Empire. As he deals with the misery of his father, Ralph develops his own inner turmoil, leading to a glimpse of life beyond his own walls. Gabriel Byrne portrays the dad, while Emily Watson plays his stepmother.
