Description
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon introduced the world to the multi-talented Zhang Ziyi. Nicknamed "Little Gong Li" in Asia, Zhang is one of the most promising talents to have come out of the Performing Arts Faculty at China Central Drama College. She first appeared in the acclaimed film The Road Home which won the jury Grand Prix Silver Bear at the 2000 Berlin Film Festival. Coming from a working class family, Zhang stood out with her ability to dance and perform at a young age. She entered the performing industry after being accepted to the Beijing Dancing College where she was awarded at dance competitions.
Zhang made her American film debut in Rush Hour 2.
