Bryan Singer will direct a thriller about the failed plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler during July of 1944. Tom Cruise may star as Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg, the German officer who organized the plot to kill Hitler and take over the German leadership. When the bombing failed, Stauffenberg was hunted down and put to the firing squad. Christopher McQuarrie and Nathan Alexander provide the script.
