Hey HSXers – :

You’ve now heard we are bringing the ol’ site back as HSX Classic at www.hsx.com so you can keep trading in the format you’ve grown accustomed to.

The HSX beta site is now just that, both in form and function, an open public beta of the new HSX. In time, and with your assistance, we will build upon the strengths of the classic site, work out the bugs and add the new features you suggest and wish to enjoy. We want you there to keep giving us your feedback so we can make it the best successor to HSX as possible.

But now, for now, we know there are going to be a lot of questions about your account on HSX Classic. Hopefully this will help answer a few.

1.) What will happen to my portfolio?

Your HSX Classic portfolio will be restored to the holdings that you had on Oct. 14, 2008, the day of the initial changeover. Your HSX Beta portfolio will remain on beta.hsx.com where you can continue trading.

2) What about delists, adjusts, TAG Adjustments, or other regular exchange activities that have occurred since October 14, 2008?

HSX Classic portfolios will be brought up to date with the previously schedules adjusts and delists before we re-open HSX Classic for trading.

3) But hey! There has been two weekend’s worth of films adjusted! What are you going to do about that?

We are going to freeze the prices of films like W., Max Payne, Saw V and so forth until the evening reset.

4) I did a lot of trading on the new site, I mean a LOT. Why aren’t you porting over those changes?

Trades that were made on the new beta site will not be transferred over. That process took us a week. Since there would be inconvenience involved in waiting that long, we’re going "back to the future" which is the quickest solution.

5) What will you do with the securities that we’re IPO’ed on the new beta site?

Since they haven’t yet been IPO’ed on the Classic site, we’ve put them back in the queue to rolled out again in the usual fashion.

6) Do I get to keep the H$ that I made by Schmoozing on the beta when I trade on HSX Classic?

Nope...you do not. If you want to Schmooze, play on beta.hsx.com. Since your Classic portfolio begins again with what you had on Oct. 14, those gains will not be present.

7) Are you telling us you intend to get rid of the new site?

No, we’re saying the exact opposite. We will keep the new site available as an open beta, with all of its functionality, which will be available to you. We hope and encourage you to spend time on the beta site to help give it a thorough testing. We truly want your feedback.

8) So there WILL be a change to a new HSX? Why?

Yes, this is change we need! HSX is an evolving business. We need a fresh coat of paint and we know many of you liked features we introduced with the new site. We will upgrade the website with new features combined with the solid, intuitive trading you love. That’s why we want you on trading on the beta site.

9) Okay, I’m all for change… but when? I don’t want to wake up and have a heartache again, please!

Once the beta site is thoroughly tested and ready, HSX Classic will migrate back to the new site. We’ll let you know and bring you along during the process. But for now, we need more input and testing so we can work out the bugs and add the functionality you desire.
