Movie scoring could raise somewhat differnt issues than do some other reflections of popular taste. For example, McDonald's sells thousands of batches of McNuggets every day while the best restaurant in the city servesperhaps a hundred plates of its finest offering. But the McNuggets cost less, which likely explains much of the ratio. The cinematic menu is prix fixe, however (excepting 3D or IMAX surcharges, whcih are rarely mandatory), making it difficult or impossible to accept finances as a mitigating factor.
Why do people choose McBurgers when they could buy steak for the same price? Different strokes. Guess somebody has to pledge Omega.
