But how good does it look? ANd how much of the 3D effect can they achieve without it looking weird?

I'm very skeptical... for animation it makes sense, but with live action, it seems like it would be better to film it in 3D... I guess Alice in Wonderland will be the true test. What I've seen so far looks good but it looks like there's a LOT of animation and CG enhancement going on.

Depends, heavy CGI sequences tend to look great, the more standard non-fx heavy sequences in Potter/Superman could have been better. {nm} notfabio Jan 26, 11:27
