Sleepy interpretation of above quote after reading JKRAS=CAPAM posts today:
Krasinski's deal is rare in that it is a two-picture deal for a role = (Two movies: CAPAM and AVNGR)
he will play Good, wins friends and confidants who are more supporting in nature in the first movie =(Origin story becoming Captain America)
but he evolves into the male lead in the second one = (becomes Leader of the Avengers)
Yeah I do need some sleep :)
