What's the logic behind that? Longest lockdown on earth despite some of the lowest # of cases?

1. if our cases are low it's because of the order not despite it; 2. the cases are persistent and not dropping a the rate they should

I could almost see them pressing ahead, but if there's not another wide release until August/Regal/AMC aren't going to re-open.

If in fact this forces everyone out of July, first Warner will move TENET then Disney will move MULAN then the chains announce they arent

Mission Tiki in CA is starting to see fatigue so I'd be amazed if the theatres that are open can stay open long enough to wait.

I'm not seeing fatigue at the Tiki. The Knives Out/Hunt double bill did 16% this weekend than last weekend

If theaters are open in Orange, Riverside and Ventura Counties, then it isn't difficult for anyone in LA to go to a movie.

Studio relationships with core LA/NYC filmmaker desired sites are delicate things besides just the box office.

even if those counties or the state itself have a different schedule than LA Co., theaters are likely to be in the last group to reopen

But those theatres cannot reopen until the Governor approves all theatres reopening in the state

CSU (23 of California's colleges) are closing campuses for the Fall Semester. So even August may be a shaky proposition for LA movie screen

LA Mayor Eric Garcetti is backtracking

His clarification muddied it again, "I think we know it’s going to be longer than three months,” before they can open up everything.

I think he meant there would be restrictions, but not that nothing would be opening up for nearly 3 months.

Even Tyler Perry who is moving fast isn't resuming production until July 8th in Georgia.

well, not backtracking (since they weren't his comments to begin with)...but he is clarifying (spinning?) what Dr. Ferrer said
