With so few movies being released, theaters can show the movie on more screens and show times. That will spread out the moviegoers.
Also, many moviegoes will now wait to see new movies which will boost the weekday shows as well as the legs of the movie.
Instead of a 50% or more weekend decline, the opening could be lower and the following weekends could have lower declines.
For example, 50m, 25m, 12m, 6m. Now it could be 25m, 20m, 15m, 10m with higher weekdays to make up the difference.
WB has added back the 7/17/20 release date for TENET on its official site (was just "Coming To Theatres") May 23, 13:29
