Yes, we have more vaccinated...and yet 2x more deaths per population.....meaning the vaccine is not everything, and it is not enough yet....
CA pop 37 mil about 10x less than US....CA would have about 2,700 ish deaths if they were the same size as the US in the past 7 days....but we have 5,158....about 2x as much. and CA is smartly shut-down for 2 weeks....the variants defeath 1 dose of the vaccine which only offers 52ish % protection. nearly half vaccinated therefore is nearly worthless vs states with variants. The overall # vaccinated is more useful: only 24.5% of Americans currently. Thus...how we have more vaccinations....but yet 2x more deaths per population still. Its gonna be a long time still...as it takes 3 months or more to get 300 million people 600 million vaccination doses.
