This Titanic spoof (the other one out there is Titanic Too: It Missed the Iceberg) produced by Warren Zide (American Pie) is about the "Titanic's" sister ship, "Gigantic," which, according to the movie's plot, did not receive the same fuss as the "Titanic" because it was two and half inches shorter.
However, "Gigantic" had the same sorry fate as the "Titanic."
Launched on its maiden voyage at the same time as its more famous counterpart, "Gigantic" cut off the "Titanic," and sent it into a collision course with an iceberg before crashing into a coral reef itself.
According to New Line, the word on the script is that it is hilarious but is still not cast and a director has not been assigned.
Apparently, the job of director will most likely go to a first timer who is looking to take a chance and is not worried about getting pigeon-holed in the spoof genre.
