Uh DMac I know you are a left coast guy but the Isles have been playing in New York (Uniondale) since 1972. The move to BROOKLYN NY (my
home borough growing up) will be in SEPTEMBER of 2015. They are not getting out of the lease any sooner and Barclays is not yet ready for the hockey team.
Interestingly, the Ratner Group which built Barclays Center will be building the smaller replacement for the Mausoleum when the Isles move out.
Btw...the only NFL team in "New York" is the Bills, and they play in Orchard Park.
