Unfortunately, he discovers his town is beseiged by drugs and run by a meth dealer named Gator, played by James Franco [JAFRA]. Homefront arrives in theaters on November 27th.
The Weinstein Co. has unveiled the second trailer for the drama August: Osage County [AUGOC] based on the Pulitzer Award-winning play. Meryl Streep [MSTRE] stars as the matriarch of the dysfunctional Weston family that reunites for a funeral. The movie premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival to rave reviews, though with a different ending from the play that may be changed by its theatrical release on Christmas.
After a nine year absence from the silver screen, Vin Diesel's Riddick [RIDC2] earned an estimated $18.7 million to lead the weekend box office. The opening fell short of 2004's Chronicles of Riddick's $24.3 million. The sci-fi sequel connected with Diesel's fanbase at 59% males and 37% Hispanics.
