First trailer for The Lovely Bones

Before he became known for 3-hrs-long bloated fantasy epics, Peter Jackson [PJACK] directed a tight murder drama called Heavenly Creatures.  Now, Jackson has slimmed down, literally and figuratively, to direct another murder drama, The Lovely Bones [LVBON] adapted from the best-selling novel by Alice Sebold. Saoirse Ronan [SRONA] plays a murdered girl who watches her family deal with her death.  The trailer starts off promising enough with its beautiful images of heaven courtesy of Jackson's WETA, however, the second half descends into the typical conventions of a Hollywood thriller.
