First trailer for Conviction

After starring in a few mediocre films since winning an Oscar for Million Dollar Baby, Hilary Swank [HSWAN] gets serious again and fishes for another nomination with the Oscar-bait drama Conviction [CONVC], previously known as Betty Anne Waters.   Changing the title however won't remove comparisons to Erin Brockovich, another drama based on a true story about a blue-collar woman fighting against the legal system.  Betty Anne Waters went to law school in order to help overturn a conviction against her brother, played by Sam Rockwell [SROCK], who is long overdue for his first Oscar nomination.  Fox Searchlight has released the first heart-tugging, sob-enducing trailer.
