Fox has unleashed the first trailer for the origin prequel Rise of the Planet of the Apes [RSPAE] on Apple. The reboot to the Planet of the Apes franchise stars James Franco [JAFRA] as a scientist who unwittingly create a highly intelligent chimpanzee through medical experimentation. Instead of using costumed actors to play the apes, the film utilizes motion capture and visual effects to create digital apes, which unfortunately turns Rise of the Planet of the Apes into I. Robot, but with CG apes.
