Description
Zooey Deschanel will play legendary rock musician Janis Joplin in the biographical drama The Gospel According to Janis. Penelope Spheeris directs the film while Brad Vanderburg scripts. One of many projects on the rocker's life, this version details her arrival in Los Angeles at the age of 19 and spans through her death eight years later at age 27.
