Description
The son of the legendary actor-writer-director Carl Reiner, Rob Reiner has created a place for himself in Hollywood history. Rob got his start as an actor on TV shows including Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. and The Odd Couple. In 1971, he joined the cast of All in the Family as Michael Stivic, the son-in-law of America's favorite bigot, Archie Bunker. The role made him a highly recognizable figure in Hollywood and opened the door to better opportunities.
In 1984, Reiner began to dabble in directing by creating This is Spinal Tap. The mockumentary became a cult hit and gave Reiner the chance to direct. Movies such as Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, and When Harry Met Sally... made Reiner an A-list director. In 1992, he was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on A Few Good Men.
