Description
Glenn Close will reprise her stage role as Norma Desmond in the feature film treatment of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical Sunset Boulevard. A washed up silent film star starts an intense affair with a younger screenwriter who is also disenchanted with Hollywood. Sunset Boulevard first saw silver screen treatment in 1950 under director Billy Wilder and star Gloria Swanson. Close took the stage part in 1993. Ewan McGregor is slated to play the lover Joe Gillis, while Hugh Jackman might also take a role.
