With Moneyball [MONYB] having trouble getting off the ground, The Blind Side [BLDSD] becomes the first book by author Michael Lewis to be adapted into a feature film. While half the book examined the evolution of the Left Tackle position in professional football, the movie will focus on the other half about the insiprational true life story of Michael Oher. One can see how Hollywood and a star like Sandra Bullock [SBULL] would be attracted to the story of how a well-to-do white family brought in a homeless black kid and gave him the opportunities to succeed in school as well as in life as a football player. Who wants to dwell on the ugly side of football which has become a big business from high school to the NFL when there is an feelgood sports movie to be sold to the public during the holiday season?
