First trailer for 42



Warner Bros. has debuted the teaser trailer for the Jackie Robinson biopic 42 [42] on Apple and no doubt attached to this weekend's Trouble with the Curve.  Chadwick Boseman stars as the African American baseball player who broke the color line in Major League Baseball, while Harrison Ford [HFORD] is nearly unrecognizable as the Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey, who signed Robinson and gave him the shot.  Directed by Brian Helgeland, 42 looks hit a homerun when it opens next April 12th,  three days before the annual Jackie Robinson Day in Major League Baseball.

Jackie Robinson was a true American hero. He took a lot of crap from a lot of people, and improved the game for it. This is NOT a baseball movie. It's about justice.
