A little confused

I got the email saying the there would be some  changes. I don't remember seeing the new "opening weekend" derivatives mentioned. What's the difference between the opening weekend and the call put options. If I remember correctly, when you do a call or put, you're basing it on what you think the films opening tally will be. Whether it will be above or below that set price.
