It's up in the air whether he's box office poison. All we have is one strange, small film that's been released, too little to go on.
If he chooses wisely, perhaps takes on a fairly significant role with a quality cast, a decent action picture, if the picture does well he's right back in the mix.
There are plenty of people out there that like the guy's movies, regardless of his personal problems. I don't know if he will, but I can envision him easily coming back and being successful. It's definitely possible.
