Exclusive: Relativity Media is in final negotiations to acquire U.S. rights to Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut "Don Jon's Addiction" and are committed to a wide theatrical release, a deal that would end the largest bidding war of the fest by far. Deal was expected to be announced shortly.
Insiders say the deal has been agreed upon in principle after negotiations that carried on until 5 a.m. this morning. Final terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed, but Park City has been buzzing about a very aggressive bid from Relativity over the past 48 hours. Sources close to the deal say Relativity is paying around $4 million and is committed to a big theatrical.
