Earlier this year they announced for a late summer shoot which didn't happen.
The summer shoot got pushed back to a fall shoot due to scheduling conflicts.
Two weeks ago Charlie Day said that they had not completed the script yet.
Now they have lost their director.

"The status of Horrible Bosses 2 is currently unknown. Earlier this year it was announced that the main cast had signed deals for a sequel to shoot late summer this year. It's late summer now and the project is not shooting as planned.
CDAY has been doing press for Pacific Rim and has been talking about Horrible Bosses 2:
"That's TBD. We're still trying to put that together, but hopefully it will all come together soon."

"We're scrambling to put together 'Horrible Bosses 2,' because everyone over there wants to do it"
"It would have to happen this fall. So if we can get it together by then... we're close. But if we can pull it all together this fall, then we'll start then."

"Yeah, we’ve been talking about doing another one and everyone has agreed to do it and I know they’re sort of kicking the tires on a concept that’ll make it worthwhile for doing another movie and trying to hone in on a script. I’m waiting to get that at any moment and have conversations with everyone and hopefully we can do something good. But as of now, we’re not actually filming anything. We’re still just trying to develop it."
