Once again, I underestimated the appeal of Wan horror, strong turnout AGAIN from the Hispanic demos! And yes, James Wan makes it . . .

. . .to that upper echelon of filmmakers who have TWO films in the same year that debut at #1 with over $40M. If the number holds and becomes actual, Wan's 2nd movie this year may also enjoy the rare distinction of a film directed by the same director which made more money than the preceding film that released in the same year. Wow.
