I finally saw Mr. Nobody. I thought it was excellent. Upon further research, I learned that it had originally been released overseas in 2009
That's nearly a 5 year difference between original world-wide release and American release (which was when I became aware of it). I know we have some folks around here that are hip to the ways of business in Hollywood and I was interested to see if any folks in the biz could help explain why sometimes these well-acted, well-written, and overall solid flicks can get stuck in limbo for so long. In this case, I doubt the movie would have ever made a lot more than it did domestically regardless of what year it was released in, so I don't get why they would just let it sit there. I mean, hadn't this movie been out on DVD for years before it got American release (at least here on HSX)? I know this process is complicated, but still it does seem a bit off.
