I have been doing this...my problem is I'm in the eastern time zone, and so I'm done playing early when I leave work and miss evening gains. Still though, Its better to sell and take profit than risk a loss. That said, I do hold some long, like big IPO's or Superhero movies that get big news. How do you decide if something is worth holding overnight? (I also hold openers through the weekend sometimes).
I would sell/short If I was you... you will get the swing of it really fast and then you will see wich ones you should hold more than just 24 hours. Penny stocks and cheap stocks with big news are worth holding usually, after the third day they go down and start with the swings, but the rend is usually up.
Next day at the begining of the day buy short averything in the top or bottom movers. Check comingsoon.net, deadline, hitfix, variety, hollywod reporter, latino review, joblo, ew.
Just to clarify, you are saying buy the stocks at the top of the movers list in the AM, and short the losers? And then check for news, right? Yes buy the ones on the top, short the ones on the bottom, at the end of the day check your position and sell/cover movement can change in the afternoon if there is a big swing during the day (day traders )
This year I stasrted with starbonds after 7 years and there is no better site to follow that hsx dude
I have been using KaiGee for starbonds, does HSX dude offer anyting more?HSX dude does all the math and points out stocks with big potential one day before adjust and does a great post adjust
And stocks with really big swings and not important new will go down or up usually the next day so set up that position.
I've been wondering about this. So if moderate news happens that swings a stockupward for the day, and I sell it, should I wait until the next AM to take the short position? I usually do it at night, sometimes AM is already to late
Setting a year to date port also works for learing every year
