Truly amazing that a piece of crap like this can make this much money. Staggering really.
This same thing happened with The Avengers. I will always remember how, once the numbers came out, and how the numbers kept growing. And finally I decided I simply had to go and see what this kind of turnout was all about. And then I actually saw the movie, or at least a good part of it before giving up, I actually did stay in the theater to the end I think, it was a tremendous amount of will on my part, but I made it through somehow, still convinced that I was a little dumber for the experience, and deeply disappointed in having wasted what seemed like 7 hours or so in the theater.And then thinking, my GOD what has happened.
Guess I'm going to have to go see this now. My god I hope I can talk myself out of it.
I just went to the Film Noir Festival Tonight. It was opening night. I'm going again, a few times over the next week and a half, so hopefully I can put it off at least that long, because I have a very strong excuse at the ready.
I can't imagine actually sitting through this. The last one, I finally started watching it on HBO. Laughably horrific dreck that. I mean, that's a stink bomb right there. And then I looked up the box office. HA !!
Kudos to Hollywood. They've really got it going on over there.
