The darker the better for me. If they go really dark it could save it in my book, and I hope they do. As far as the casting goes...
...I just don't see Afleck int he role. I felt the same way with Clooney. My thoughts didn't change based on the trailer, it's more of a "who fits" kind of thing. And, just my opinion, Afleck is a terrible fit for the role. And I'm a fan of his movies. I just think this was one of the more awful choices (by the folks doing the hiring, not Afleck who would be nuts to turn down the role).
