women (and men) love Mila Kunis and this cast is well rounded.
if done well, this film could snag $110M+ easy, if great reviews then WOM could push it over $150M+
then think about how they're marketing this as "from the guys that wrote The Hangover". they are also completely modeling the trailer after Neighbors, same fonts and same music. then the similarities betwwen this film and Horrible Bosses.
all three of these marketing moves are genius, as this film will also bring out some guys.
not great comparisons at all, but successful Jul/Aug comedies that also attract women, to bring their men consist of...
Crazy, Stupid, Love
Grown Ups 2
Tammy
there are several examples of trying to do female driven comedies that fail too. two weeks prior to this film Ghostbusters is landing. with horrible reception at this point and a male dominated fanbase from the original, I don't necessarily think this will have legs to hurt Bad Moms. Moms target audience are all hard working mothers out there. lot of those these days.
with Jason Bourne opening the same weekend, and Suicide Squad the next, there's a lot of testosterone fighting for attention. Bad Moms should have smooth sailing until Sausage Party, and even then they're somewhat different target demos.
so in conclusion, based on the trailer, small reaction I've seen, cast and marketing, this film shouldn't have a problem getting to $80M at all. but I expect a lot more. little under three months out and I'm going to call $40M OW. my only caveat is if the film has horrible reviews, I'll retract a bit. even with middle of the road reviews, $30M is my minimum OW.
we shall see.
