that's fair. I shouldn't judge until (and if) I see it. I guess what's worn me out (personally) was The Hangover sequels.

great original comedy that stood on its own and ruined a franchise... sort of like The Matrix.

a great example is The Wedding Crashers.  some may not like it here, but it's a film I thoroughly enjoy and it makes me happy a sequel wasn't produced (and hopefully never does).  Old School being another great example.

so now going forward, when I see a decent comedy fast pace a sequel it just feels like a quick money grab, rather than waiting for a great script and letting it happen if and when it needs to happen.

this is just my personal opinion.
