Variety: [ESTON] circling the lead in [21JST] and [SPID4]

Stone has begun circling the female lead in a reboot of "21 Jump Street" opposite Jonah Hill. The pic was written by Hill and Josh Appelbaum and will be helmed by Phil Lord with a production start date set for early 2011.

Stone has also been added to a list including Lily Collins, Teresa Palmer and Mia Wasikowska the studio is considering for the female lead in the untitled "Spider-Man" pic.

While the other three thesps are also still in the running for the role, insiders say Stone may have an advantage given her relationship with the studio. Sony had no comment but reports say Stone would play a new lead role that is not Mary Jane Watson.
