Danny Boyle [DBOYL] basically said he'd retire with 28 Months Later [28MLT]. It will not be able to shoot before 2012.
I was at an advance screening of 127 Hours in D.C. last night and someone asked Danny Boyle where he stood on 28 Months later, this is after the rumors he wants to direct it. He said that they only thing keeping the film alive are the fans talking about it and he was committed directing a stage play in London next and after that is working on the London Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony. So while he said he was still interested, he has no room in his schedule to do this anytime soon.
