short securities always, but here it is - thus, if there's a "crash", you can make a lot of money on that, too, by remaining on the ball, i.e. actively* managing your portfolio
* preferably not only daily, but several times a day (and there are a few points during each day when changes routinely occur + there's also perhaps a news cycle, although I haven't quite cracked the code on the latter, yet.. )
