I failed earlier to come up with a past example off the top of my head. Please see ZDTHR.
A three week limited run and all attachments have a release date of January 2013.

Why won't just "wide" work? If there's "wide", the releae date is always the wide opening weekend. {nm} on Aug 06, 10:51
Because I parse out the original limited release date, and then the wide re-release date, so that I can calculate the drops later. on Aug 06, 12:42
Also, the "Release Pattern" field may not contain wide/limited, but still it may not be a wide re-release. Sometimes you have NY/LA ... on Aug 06, 12:51

Isn't the wide date used for drops? Look at the attached for FRTVL and WAYBK on Aug 06, 14:18
The TAG adjusts are based on delist date of the movie, but later on the drops are based on first release date. {nm} on Aug 06, 16:36
No. the Wide release date is it. The limited date ceases to exist once it goes wide. Period. on Aug 06, 20:22
Are you sure? We had a discussion a while back, and I changed the code to use first(limited) release date. And no one has complained ... on Aug 06, 21:18
