These forums have been in serious need of moderation since I started playing. it's been brought up and ignored. Attacks
Happen and sniping occurs to just about anyone around here. It's bad for cohesion and morale, and is very demotivational. Attacks are aimed at the poster...whomever that might be. We all have been the recipient of a bullet at one time, if you have ever made a post. Unless specifically stated, these are aimed at the poster because of their post and/or comment. In rare instances does one see continued artillery barrages the likes of Razor vs SS. It has nothing to do with one's religious beliefs, unless that's at the core of the dislike for the person. I can't say that I have witnessed personal attacks on you...per se.
You are in Australia, a commonwealth country, with commonwealth beliefs. The US and Eastern countries do not share in your viewpoints/culture. Nor should they have to...nor should one expect it to be any different. These cultural differences do cause different interpretations and reactions to the same information.
Anonymity of the internet is a shield behind which the weakest people hide. I can call LHayes whatever I want on here (not that I would) because of the "you can't touch me" that anonymity provides. But I wonder how many of us have the ... To say something to his face while staring at his gargantuon python-like arms?
Sorry to say, but you are very sensitive and quick to react to any negative comment against you. You are also very fast at labelling the cause, defaulting from time to time that it is because of your beliefs. This sensitivity in and of itself demonstrates a need to be accepted, and possibly an underconfident personality...but, not everyone here cares the same about your emotional well being, or your desire to walk through life with your belief structure unchallenged.
An old saying..."if you don't want people to get your goat, don't tell them where it's tied.". You have opened yourself up to us. We all know some of your pressure points. This has both endeared you to us (as it has let us get to know you more personally) but has caused you to be more vulnerable.
I don't think you are being targetted personally or persecuted religiously. I do feel, however, that you are making yourself worry unecessarily about things that don't mean what you think they do, both as a result of your personal sensitivities/natural tendencies and due to cultural differences between you and the rest of the audience.
At least that's my assessment of the situation based on reading the posts and your many explanations of your given situations in the past. this is not meant as judgement of any kind, I'm just trying to point out that the rest of us don't identify any socially or religiously centered malice in any of the posts...even the very unfunny ones that call into question your loyalty to your country...
I hope this helps in some way by providing food for thought. Right or wrong.
