I've only watch the first episode so far, but I think the concept is great and the execution is horrible (Spoilers)

Seems like he is just trying to create another Lost. I was instantly annoyed that they teased that Tim Guinee's character knew the reason for the blackout, but they weren't going to tell the audience what it was. I get that it adds mystery, but don't treat me like an idiot and dangle that carrot. Also, looks like it is going to be another show full of flashbacks.

JJ is quickly turning into the M Knight Shyamalan of TV...same formula, new characters
